I was calling different insurance companies last week trying to get quotes on automobile insurance for my 16-year-old son. Boy, I was in for a rude awakening when I started hearing all of the premium quotes concerning a 16-year-old male. I finally settled on the insurance company that we currently have, but during the conversation the representative told me that I if I were to add our renters insurance and combine auto insurance with it that we would save approximately 15% on the monthly premium for my son. What that was a no-brainer for me, so I went ahead and signed us up. Unfortunately, our insurance company does not offer individual health insuranceso we are left to our own devices trying to find affordable health insurancefor family. With the rising cost of medical care we simply cannot go without coverage any longer.
There are number of different major carriers that offer Texas health insurance, the problem is trying to find a premium rate that will fit within our monthly budget along with all of the other obligations that we have. If there wasn’t so much uncertainty these days I would consider going without health care coverage if I didn’t have children to think about. One trip to the emergency room with one of them would spell financial disaster for me and my husband. Even though that thought has crossed my mind several times I know that it’s certainly not logical. So I will continue to look for an insurance plan that will fill our needs and provide us with good benefits at a reasonable premium rate.
After watching the ads on television concerning open enrollment for Medicare part C I can’t wait to retire. I do not want to wish my life away however; it seems more economical to be retired receiving traditional Medicare benefits with the option of seeking Medicare supplemental insurance that is available for one simple monthly premium payment. There are several Medigap insurance companies that are advertising for this coverage and as I listened to the information that they are providing this seems like the way to go when I reach my retirement years. With the many Medicare providersthat are available who accept Medicare supplement plans I will be able to find a doctor that I feel comfortable with. 1-800-MEDIGAP has been one of the companies that advertise this valuable coverage and they promise to provide excellent service while answering all of the questions I may have.
